Patricia Ann Marren

On October 18th, 2024, Patricia Murphy Marren peacefully passed away in Villanova, PA after a long battle with dementia. 

Patricia was born in Chicago, Il on December 17th 1939 to Margaret McPeake Murphy and James Murphy. She had three siblings: Margaret Murphy, Michael Murphy and John Murphy. She attended Saint Thomas Aquinas high school in Chicago and had an Associate degree from Dekalb Community College in Atlanta, Georgia. On August 27th, 1960 she married her travel partner and love of her life, James Joseph Marren, who preceded her in death on May 25th 2021.

They are survived by their three children, Mary Beth Marren Johns (Eddie), Jeanne Marren Egan (Mike), and James Patrick Marren (Kara); and her grandchildren, who called her "Moni," Patrick, Meghan, Connor, Katie, Fitzpatick, Luke and Bridget.

Patricia was an avid traveler and citizen of the world. She had a long career with Eastern Airlines which took her to many destinations around the globe. In addition to her travels, she and Jim lived in abroad in Australia, Northern Ireland and Germany. She was happiest when she was planning a new adventure and instilled the love of travel in her children and grandchildren. 

She will be memorialized in a private family gathering at her daughter's home on November 2nd, 2024.
