Patricia "Pat" Anna Shearer (nee Carbin), 68 of Newtown Square, PA passed away on June 22, 2014.
Born in Philadelphia in 1946, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Hinkle and Francis J. Carbin.
Pat was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved serving in many capacities as a Deacon's wife and was a devoted member of SS Simon and Jude Parish in West Chester.
She was very grateful for the loving care she received at St. Martha's Manor in Downingtown, PA and from her many friends and family.
Pat was the beloved wife of Deacon C. William Shearer, Jr.; loving mother of William M. Shearer of West Chester and Linda P. Pulli (Michael) of Souderton, PA; loving grandmother of Christopher, Sarah, Samuel, Zachary and Sophia; dear sister of Sally Resnick, Elizabeth Cugini and the late Francis J. Carbin, Jr. (Ellen); loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 6:00-9:00 PM Wednesday at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000 and 9:00-10:00 AM Thursday at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct, West Chester, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to The Catholic Charities of Philadelphia, 222 N. 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
