Patrick Dougherty (Doc)

On Tuesday October 22, 2019, Patrick T. Dougherty (Doc) loving husband, father and grandfather unexpectedly passed away at the age of 68. Pat was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 1, 1951. He was the son of the late Paul J., Jr. and Regina (nee Kelly) Dougherty. A graduate of Monsignor Bonner class of 1968. Patrick worked as a Master Plumber, Pipefitter and lastly an Engineer Technician at the Washington Navy Yard. Known to all by his jovial smile, witty personality and eagerness to help those he loved. His past-times included bowling, golfing, playing softball, and watching any Philadelphia Eagles or Flyers games. He loved to be surrounded by family and friends and would proudly show off his grandchildren at any chance he could get. He was a deeply devoted family man.

Patrick was the beloved husband of Margaret A. (nee DeOrio) Dougherty; loving father of Michelle Chronowski (Joseph), Jean Dougherty (Jason), and Patrick T. Dougherty, Jr.; attentive grandfather of Carter, Violet, Charlotte, Abigail, and Margaret; dear brother of Paul Dougherty, III (Barbara), caring uncle to all his nieces and nephews, and dear to all of his extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Francis of Assisi (8300 Old Columbia Road, Fulton MD 20759) on Monday November 4th 2019. Viewing at 10 am followed by Mass at 11 am. Interment will be private. Local reception following mass.
