Paul Edward "Corky" Gallagher, 70, of Coatesville, PA passed away on July 6, 2014 at his home in Coatesville surrounded by his family and friends.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1943, he grew up in the Main Line and was the son of Elizabeth (Lynch) and Paul A. Gallagher, both deceased.
He was the beloved husband of Patricia "Patty" Walters Gallagher, with whom he spent 19 years; loving father of Robert "Linc" Lincoln Gallagher, Geri-Ann Gallagher Wogram (Brian), Amanda Lee Gallagher and Samantha Gallagher Book (Steve); dear brother of Elizabeth Jane "BJ" Gallagher Marshall, Diane Gallagher Ciarlello (John), Gregory Norris Gallagher (Brenda); dear step-father of Carl Senn (Christine), Sherri Madl (Mike), Donna Senn, Brenda Hoagland (Mark); loving Grandfather of Tyler Joseph McConnell-Gallagher, Hunter Conrad Gallagher-Phillips, Emma Victoria Wogram, Jessica Taylor Wogram, Steven Paul Wogram; Step-grandfather of Courtney Verzinskie, Lexy Hoagland, Mady Hoagland, Katie Senn, Alex Senn, Nicki Cathcart, Sam Krause, Shane Senn, Tara Book, Steven Book, Selah Book and Elijah Book. Also survived by 3 Great Grandchildren, 5 Nephews and 2 Nieces.
He was a graduate of St. Aloysius Academy in Radnor, PA, Monsignor Bonner High School in Upper Darby, PA and Villanova University in December 1969.
Paul served honorably as a Sergeant in the US Army National Guard.
He was the owner of Gallagher Equipment Company and then worked as a Sales Representative in the trucking industry until his retirement in 2012.
He was a Little League District Umpire, was active in the Barley Sheaf Playhouse in Lionville, the Exton area JAYCEES and the Uwchlan Township Park & Recreation Board.
Some of the hobbies and interests he enjoyed included hiking, reading, History, telling stories and spending time with family and friends.
A Celebration of Corky's Life will be held Sunday July 20, 2014 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Lionville Fire Hall, 15 S. Village Ave, Lionville, PA 19353. Refreshments and food will be served.
