Paul Gettz, Sr.

Paul Charles Gettz, Sr., age 88, of Upper Chichester, PA, formerly of Manoa, PA, passed away on December 25, 2020.

Born in Drexel Hill, PA to the late Wilfred and Myrtle (nee Phair) Gettz.

Paul was a veteran of the Coast Guard and served honorably in the Korean War. He is a retired union electrician with Local 98.

Paul was a loving dad and grandfather. He was an avid Eagles fan. He loved spending time on his boat on the Chesapeake and spending his winters in Florida. He was a golfer and belonged to the Elks Lodge. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War and American Legion.

Paul was the beloved father of Paul C. Gettz, Jr. (Dona) and Dawn Marie Burgis (Ira); loving siblings Edgar Gettz, Dorothy Sorino, and the late Wilfred Gettz; dear grandfather of Brittany Burgis, Matthew Burgis, Kevin Gettz, and Victoria Gettz.

Relatives and Friends are welcome to greet the family on Saturday, January 2, 2020 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. His Funeral Service will be held privately. All are invited to His Interment at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, 1600 S. Sproul Rd., Springfield, PA 19064, please note that social distancing will be observed.
