Peter J. Huha

Peter J. Huha, age 89, of Havertown, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Peter John and Frances (née Gilroy) Huha.

Peter served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He studied at both Drexel University and Brown University and was employed as an electrical designer within the nuclear power plant industry.  Peter was an avid reader and golfer and also served as a Boy Scout leader. 

Peter was the beloved husband of Mary K. (née Johnson) Huha; the loving father of Maryanne Huha Finigan, Deborah Bryfogle (Dean), Constance Gibson (James), Peter J. Huha, Jr. (Jennifer), and Thomas Huha.  He was the proud grandfather of Richard Iford, Christina Goetz (Anthony), Peter J. Huha, III (Brianna), Nicole Huha, Michael Huha, Carla Santoro (Frank), Ryan Bryfogle (Rachel), Kimberly Bryfogle, and Timothy Bryfogle.  He was the great-grandfather of Jayden Hearn, Zoelle Huha, and Zachary Huha.  He is also survived by his nephew, Edwin Johnson, and nieces, Vickie Gallagher (Dave), Barbara Ann Johnson, Linda Fry (Fran), Terri Hagendorf (Fred), Cheryl Kreisher, and their children and grandchildren.  He is predeceased by his brother, James R. Huha.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass, Monday, May 9, 2022, 11:00 AM at Annunciation BVM Parish, 401 Brookline Boulevard, Havertown, PA  19083.  At request of family, all attendees are asked to wear facial masks to Funeral Mass.  Interment private.
