Peter J. McKinney

Peter J. McKinney, 57, passed away on May 13, 2024.

Born October 4, 1966 in Dayton, OH, he was a son of Joseph E. McKinney (Jean) and the late Margaret (nee Szantay) McKinney.

Peter attended Bishop Shanahan High School, was an Eagle Scout and a practiced chef working at LaCotte in West Chester, PA, Hershey Mills Golf Club, PA, Western Hills and Losantiville Country Clubs in Cincinnati, OH, Vitor’s Bistro and at Boscov's Catering in Reading, PA.

Peter enjoyed all activities outdoors like horseback riding and camping. He loved to play cards and tell jokes and did some coin collecting.

Peter was the loving father of Tiernan McKinney; dear brother of Michael McKinney (Kelly), Stephen McKinney, and Joseph McKinney (Kathleen); and proud uncle of Max McKinney, Margaret Crews, and Kathryn McKinney.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:30 to 11:30 on Wednesday May 22, 2024 at Saints Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester PA 19382, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30. Interment at St. Agnes Cemetery.
