Peter Francis Novak, age 70, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. He was born on December 20, 1954, in Chicago, IL. Beloved son of the late Francis J. and Ann P. (nee Morrissey) Novak.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Peter leaves behind a legacy characterized by love for family and friends, a passion for personal and professional growth, and a lifetime of meaningful accomplishments.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Kathy (nee Cacciatore) Novak, who was not only his partner but his greatest supporter and closest friend. Together, they created a warm, welcoming home filled with laughter and cherished memories. He was a proud father to his three children – Ann Marie, Michael (his wife, Danielle), and Kate – and found immense joy in his role as “G-Pop” to his grandsons, Liam and Aiden. His time with them was filled with play, love, and wisdom, leaving a lasting impression on their young lives.
Peter's deep connections extended to his siblings: Mary, Ann, Frank, Edmund, Joan, Patrice, Michael, and Marybeth, and was predeceased by his sister Catherine. Growing up in a household of ten children taught Peter the importance of support, resilience, and togetherness – values he carried with him throughout his life. The stories and bonds they shared together will be remembered for generations.
Peter had an adventurous spirit and a deep appreciation for culture. He loved traveling, exploring art, savoring new cuisines, and diving into local history. Some of his favorite retreats included the quaint streets of Cape May, NJ, and sunny shores of Fort Lauderdale, FL. A longtime member of Overbrook Golf Club, Peter enjoyed not just the game of golf, but the camaraderie it brought.
Professionally, Peter was a proud CPA and entrepreneur who built a successful business alongside his trusted partners. He was devoted to his clients, always striving to protect their interests and earn their trust. The relationships he formed throughout his career were built on integrity and friendship – and those connections continue to reflect in his legacy.
Peter's warmth, wisdom, and generous spirit will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family, friends, and colleagues are invited to celebrate his life on Friday, May 2, 2025, with a viewing from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 AM, both held at St. John Neumann Church, located at 380 Highland Ln, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Villanova, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peter's memory may be made to American Cancer Society, Philadelphia Zoo, or the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
