Emblem

Peter Tramo, age 72, of Broomall, PA, sadly passed away on November 9, 2024 with his wife and best friend, Luci, by his side and surrounded by the love of many family members.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, “Big Pete,” as he was known by his family and friends, was the son of the late Carmen Charles and Marie (née Testa) Tramo.

Pete was a distinguished Executive Chauffeur for The Franklin Mint for many years, where his dedication and hard work earned him respect and admiration through his career.

A proud veteran, Peter served his country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Beyond his professional and military achievements, Pete embodied virtues that defined his character, including strength, generosity, resourcefulness, and thriftiness. His home was his haven, filled with laughter and warmth, where he enjoyed cooking culinary creations for his family and hosting memorable dinners, especially on Thanksgiving. Peter enjoyed tending his garden and caring for his prized fig trees. An aficionado of fine cigars, Pete found relaxation while smoking a good Avanti Cigar on his deck, soaking up the sun, and savoring life’s simple pleasures.

Pete took immense pride in his role as a provider demonstrating his deep faith through unwavering care for his family, a trait admired by all who knew him. His Granddaughters were his pride and joy and he treasured their times spent together. He loved all his furry family pets, both past and present, affirming his compassionate nature.

Peter was the loving husband who just celebrated 50 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Lucille M. (née Lanni) Tramo; the loving father of Danalynn M. Volpe (Gene) and Peter J. Tramo (Teather Schroth); the proud grandfather of Gena V. Volpe and Isabella P. Volpe. He was the dear brother of Roseanne R. Gale (Joseph), Donna McLaughlin (Joseph), and Frank C. Tramo and a wonderful uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a Viewing on Friday evening, 6:00 to 8:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-353-6300, with a second Viewing to take place Saturday morning, 9:00 – 10:00 AM at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008. The Tramo family strongly requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Peter’s honor to the West Philadelphia Achievement Charter Elementary School, 6701 Callowhill Street, Philadelphia, PA 19151.
