Phan Văn Lạc
September 2nd, 1944 – September 20th, 2022
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phan Văn Lạc, who peacefully returned to the Lord at the age of 78, on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022. He spent his entire life being a loving husband to Cuc, wonderful father to John Robert, Hellen and Henry, a selfless grandfather to Audrey, Naomi, and Ryder, and a great pal to his pet dogs, including Romy.
Born on September 2, 1944, in Nghe An, Vietnam, Lac dedicated his life to creating opportunities for his family to have a better life, a good education and moral Christian values. A selfless man with a radiant smile, he captured the hearts of those around him. He loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and dog. Aside from committing time with his family, he was a devout Catholic who always put his trust in the Lord.
On a fun note, Lac was a quiet man but with a funny sense of humor who was often seen with a smile on his face. His humbleness and positive attitude of life influenced so many people near and far. Having spent most of his adult life in the Philadelphia area, Lac was a committed Eagles football fan, who rarely missed a game.
We miss him dearly, but he has left us with an afterglow of many happy memories that will remain eternally with us. May he rest in peace.
Please join us in remembering and honoring the life of Lac Phan. Family and friends are invited to the services to commemorate our dear husband, father, and grandfather.
Afterglow
I’d like the memory of me
to be a happy one,
I’d like to leave an afterglow
of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
of happy times and laughing times
and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve,
to dry before the sun of happy memories
that I leave behind when day is done.
