Philip Wilson

Philip H. Wilson, of Wayne, PA, passed away on March 9, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. He was 78. Phil is survived by Annabel, his devoted wife of 56 years, his children Tim Wilson of Yardley, PA, Chris Wilson (Sandi) of Newtown Square, PA and Laura Samborski (Kenn) of Centerville, OH, his grandchildren Lindsay and Steve Wilson and Annika and Kendall Samborski, his sister Ann Youmann of Mansfield, PA and numerous family and friends.



Phil was born on November 9, 1938 to Harold and Phyllis Wilson. He had a distinguished career as a Purchasing Director in the railroad industry. Phil served as the International Chairman for the Purchasing Management Association. Phil was deeply committed to charitable work. He was the President of the Board of Directors for the Radnor Chapter of A Better Chance (ABC). He was President and Treasurer of the Lions Club of Wayne.



A Funeral Service will be held at Wayne Presbyterian Church, 125 E. Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by a reception at the Church.



In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
