Philippe Girard

Philippe A. "Phil" Girard, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away at the age of 91 on January 21, 2019.
Born in Darby, PA, he was the only child of Thomas L. and Marie A. Girard (nee Degagne).
Philippe was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys in Philadelphia, PA. and Villanova University.
He served in the United States Navy during the World War II era.
He was the owner of Press Publishing Company, which publishes four local papers.
Philippe is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret M. Girard (nee O'Connor), his loving children Denise Pascucci (Donald), Patricia Van Sciver (Gary), Andrea Girard, Susan Damico (Christopher) and Robert Girard (Lisa), his 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday, February 1, 2019 10:00-11:00 AM at St. John Neumann Church, 380 Highland Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA and to his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to West Catholic Alumni, P.O. Box 889, Ardmore, PA 19003-0889 or to the Veterans Administration, 5000 Wissahickon Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19144 would be appreciated.
