Phyllis Garrett

Phyllis R. Garrett, 79, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Newtown Square, PA, passed away on March 18, 2020.

Born in Chester, PA in 1940, she was the daughter of the late Burnell Stough and Lydia Florence (nee Ratcliff) Garrett. Phyllis earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Whitman College, Walla Walla, WA, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She worked as an overseas airline stewardess for Pan Am and then as a school teacher at Glenwood Elementary School. Phyllis enjoyed reading and acting in summer stock plays. She was a proud mother to her Westies.

Phyllis was the loving sister of Barbara G. Donahue (John); caring aunt of Kevin Donahue and Jody Mawson (Kenneth); dear great-aunt of Kylee, Erin, and Shawn.

Services will be held at a later date.
