Phyllis J. Kane (nee Gillan), age 88, of Broomall, PA, passed away on January 8, 2016.
Born in Philadelphia to the late Alexander and Claire (nee Conway) Gillan, Phyllis was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Girls.
Phyllis was the beloved wife of the late John A. Kane and is survived by her loving children John A. Kane, Jr. (Lynne), Gerald J. Kane (Ellen) and Janice Sylvester (Robert), her eight grandchildren and her great-grandson. She was pre-deceased by her brother Alexander Gillan and his wife Anne.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass, Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA, where friends may call from 10:00 to 10:50 AM. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to The Marple Public Library, 2599 Sproul Road, Broomall, PA 19008 would be appreciated.
