Ralph R. “Ray” DeCaro, Jr., age 69, of Marlton, NJ, formerly of Broomall, PA, passed away peacefully November 27, 2024.
Born on November 14, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA, Ray was the cherished son of the late Ralph and Wilhelmina R. (nee Cook) DeCaro. A proud graduate of Marple Newtown High School, Ray went on to build a career with the FedEx Corporation, where his dedication and strong work ethic earned him the respect of his colleagues and customers alike.
Ray’s zest for life was fueled by a deep love of music, especially the poetic, relatable sounds of Bruce Springsteen. More than just a fan, Ray lived and breathed Springsteen’s music, embodying the raw energy, passion, and storytelling that “The Boss” inspired. Whether attending countless concerts or cranking up Prove it All Night his favorite song during road trips, Ray found joy, solace, and connection in every lyric and note. His devotion to Springsteen was more than a hobby—it was a heartbeat that defined his spirit.
When he was not immersed in music, Ray’s adventurous spirit took him far and wide. Whether walking, biking, or driving, he found joy in exploring both the familiar and the new. He loved traveling to California, savoring its vibrant landscapes, and cruising up and down the East Coast, soaking in the beauty of the open road.
Above all, Ray’s greatest pride and joy were his family. He leaves behind his beloved daughter Nicole Cocolin, his son Ralph Raymond DeCaro III, his son-in-law Owen Cocolin and his adored grandchildren Riley DeCaro and Crue Cocolin. He is also survived by his brothers Richard, Robert, and Ronald DeCaro, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love.
