Ralph R. Nocito of Havertown, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Broomall Rehab and Nursing Center in Broomall, PA. He was 96 years old.
He was a devoted husband to the late Jane Nocito (Gillen) for 71 years. Being extremely family oriented, he especially enjoyed the special times spent with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his brothers and sisters and their children as well as his many cousins. He will be sadly missed.
Born in Camden, New Jersey, he was the son of the late John Nocito and the late Ernestine Nocito (nee Cericola).
He served honorably in the Army Air Corps as a Sergeant during World War II. He was employed and retired from General Electric Switchgear Division in Philadelphia. Ralph loved music and dancing. He was an avid fan of horse racing and sports as well. But most of all he was known for his kindness and generosity. He was also known for his humility and great sense of humor that was enjoyed by all.
He was the loving father to Jane Grosskurth (Philip), of Villas, NJ, Ralph Nocito (Marianne) of Overbrook and Ernie Nocito (Vera) of Levittown; the loving grandfather to Geraldine Sullivan (the late Edward), John Lutes (Adriane), the late Michael Lutes, Eric Nocito, Nicole Nocito, Frederik Togsverd, Francis "Buddy" Hoyles (Lori) and Carl Grosskurth (Amy Erin) and great-grandfather of Derek Lutes, Edward Sullivan, Nicholas Hoyles, Kaylee, Ethan and Kelsey Grosskurth.
He was also predeceased by his brother Louis (Ann) Nocito, and his sisters Mary (the late Hope) Moore, and Joan Brisgone (Tony). He is survived by his brothers John Nocito (Dorothy) and Vincent Nocito (the late Penny) and his sister Irene Schoener (George) as well as many other relatives, nieces, and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at St. Bernadette Church, 1035 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
