Raymond Lamont Seace, 65, of Downingtown, PA passed away on March 14, 2017.
Born in Coatesville, PA in 1951, he was the son of the late Harold K. and Lillian (nee McKeeman) Seace. Raymond was a deacon at the Faith Community Baptist Church. He was an Awana leader, known as "the boss of Awana."
Raymond was the beloved husband of Verna Kay (nee Ansbach) Seace; loving father of Michael A. Seace, David J. Seace, Erin M. Seace, Matthew S. Seace, and Joshua Lamont Seace; dear brother of John K. Seace and the late Robert Seace; also survived by 11 grandchildren. His grandchildren are Ashley and Mackenzie Seace, daughters of his son Michael; Braeden, Liam, Fiona and Lachlan Seace, children of his son David; Milah and Michael Seace, children of his son Matthew; Abbie Abernethy, Carli van Baal and Connor Seace, children and stepchildren of his son Joshua.
Ray (Dad to his kids, and Pappy to his grandkids) was a skilled carpenter and contractor. He spent the last 40+ years working for Donald E. Reisinger, Inc., a contracting company in West Chester PA. He loved baseball--whether he was playing it, watching it or coaching it, He was a manager in the Downingtown Babe Ruth League and the Downingtown Little League, he also was a coach in the Downingtown Young Whippets Football Program. He also enjoyed hunting, western movies, football, classic cars and trucks, and, of course, woodworking. Known by many for his hard work and dedication, he tirelessly helped everyone around him with his knowledge and always-handy skills.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Faith Community Baptist Church, 1585 Glenside Rd, Downingtown, PA 19335 followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1617 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
