Raymond Smith

Raymond L. Smith, age 82, of Drexel Hill, PA, and formerly of Upper Darby, PA passed away on November 18, 2022.   Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Faustina Smith (nee McGuigan).

Raymond was a veteran of the United States Army.   He had been employed as a Public Safety Officer at Villanova University. 

Raymond was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Villanova University basketball team.  He was an AA counselor and was a participant in the “Bridge to the Beach”, bicycling for the American Cancer Society.

In addition to his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his 2 infant children.   He is survived by his nephews Ralph Cooper, Fred Sanger, Joe Smith, Bill Smith, Steve Smith, Frank Panzullo, Christopher Smith, and his nieces Angela Cooper, Tina Smith and Karen Smith.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Monday, November 28, 2022 9:30-10:30 AM at St. Laurence Lower Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA and to his Funeral Mass at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
