Regina E. McNamara

Regina “Bubba” Ellen McNamara (Burns), 84, peacefully passed on January 19, 2025 at Rosewood Gardens in Broomall, PA.

The daughter of Dennis and Mary Burns, who preceded her in death, grew up in Yeadon, PA and graduated from Holy Child Academy in Sharon Hill, PA. A brother, William (Grace) Burns of Spring Lake, NJ survives. Two sisters, Mary (James) Sculley and Margot (Gerald) Donnelly, preceded their sister in death. A proud 1962 graduate of Rosemont College, she married her loving husband Francis (Frank) in August 1963.

She was an elementary educator for 25 years in the Trinity Area School District in Washington, PA where she lived for over 40 years. In retirement, Frank and Regina enjoyed traveling to Singapore, Australia, Ireland, cruises to the Mediterranean and Europe and many beach vacations. They later relocated to Bethany Beach, DE fulfilling a lifelong dream of living by the sea.

Regina enjoyed the finer things in life, including fashionable attire, a well-set table, compelling novels and all things Irish. Most of all she treasured time with family and friends.

Surviving, including her husband, are children Frank (Cathy) McNamara, Dennis (Sue) McNamara and Gigi McNamara; grandchildren Alexandra, Nicholas, Megan, and Mia; and several nieces and nephews. Her children and grandchildren enjoyed many happy memories with their Bubba.
