Regina Marie Ross, known to many as Jean, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully, at home, on February 16, 2025, at the age of eighty-six after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on May 25, 1939, in Norristown, Jean was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and friends.
Jean graduated from West Catholic High School in 1957 and immediately married the love of her life, Dan Ross, beginning a family that would become her greatest joy. She dedicated her life to her family and spent her later years helping shape the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She created cherished yearly traditions, including Easter egg hunts, decorating the yard for Halloween parties, and countless vacations to Longboat Key Florida that brought joy and togetherness to her loved ones. Her warm smile and compassionate spirit touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who know her.
Jean was happily married to the love of her life, Dan Ross, for 64 years. They met when she was just fifteen, and their love story was an inspiration to all who knew them.
Jean always stopped what she was doing the minute a visitor arrived making her home a beacon of warmth. She encouraged her children, and grandchildren, to reach for the stars, always supporting their dreams and aspirations. Jean had a special tradition of saying, “I’ll leave the light on,” as a comforting gesture that her door was always open and there was never an inconvenient time to visit.
Jean passed away surrounded by her loving husband, and children, a testament to the close-knit family she nurtured throughout her life.
Jean is survived by her husband, Dan Ross, children Danny Ross (Janet), Jeanne Myers (Rich), and Kim Balch (Ken); her grandchildren Daniel Ross (Kaitlyn), Chelsea Larson (Mitch), Brennah Ross, Madison Ross, Richie Myers (Amy), Brittany Farra (Eric); Chris Balch (Kate), Matt Balch and her great-grandchildren Rylee Larson, Morgan Larson, Kendall Myers, and Bennett Balch. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and other loved ones.
Jean was a resident of Devon, Pennsylvania for 48 years.
Her life will be celebrated in a private ceremony for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, in Jean’s memory.
