Renee Phillips

Renee Phillips (née Thompson), 79, of Glen Mills, PA passed away on December 15, 2022.

Born in West Chester, PA in 1943, she was the daughter of the late Francis W. and Ruth (née Dutcher) Thompson.

Renee was the loving mother of Jeffrey Lear (Christina); devoted grandmother of Cara Witmer; and dear sister of the late John Thompson.

She worked for the US Post Office for many years, retiring as the Postmaster of the Westtown Post Office. She was a lifelong member of Stonybank Community Church, where she sang in the Choir, led the Bell Choir and was a member of both the Lady’s Guild and the Needlework Guild.

Renee loved music and singing. Two of her favorite artists were Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw. She was interested in learning about history and enjoyed volunteering at the Christian Sanderson Museum, a museum of historical artifacts in Chadds Ford, PA

She was a loving, caring and thoughtful Mom, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed vacationing in Cape May and will be long remembered for her love of Christmas cookies and watching “White Christmas”.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing 10:00-11:30 AM Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000 followed by her Funeral Service 11:30 AM. Interment Green Tree Cemetery, Oakes, PA.
