Rev Francis H. Gallen, age 94, former pastor of St. Augustine Church in Bridgeport PA, passed away on May 17, 2014.
Beloved brother of eight siblings; he is survived by 2 sisters, Rosemary Donaghue and Margaret Procko, both of West Chester, PA. Devoted uncle of over 50 nieces and nephews.
Fr Francis was a US Air Force veteran, serving as a chaplain for 28 years including a tour in Vietnam; he received numerous commendations and awards and retired with the rank of Full Colonel.
Fr Francis served as pastor of St. Augustine Parish for 15 years; he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, an avid golfer, and loved spending time with family in Brigantine, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Viewing on Wednesday, May 28, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM, immediately followed by his Funeral Mass at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 1325 Boot Rd, West Chester, PA.
Internment will be private.
