Richard J. Burke, age 85, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on October 13, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Richard J. and Marguerite Burke (nee Malloy).
Richard served in the United States Army during the Korean War era and was a retired Police Officer with the Upper Darby Police Department.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan Burke (nee Fraelich), his loving children Richard J. Burke (Sheila), Marie Cooney (Ken), Joann Bosworth (Fiancé Robert Ferguson) and Debbie Burke, 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and his sister, Peggy Noyes. He was predeceased by his daughter, Joanie Burke and his brother, Robert Burke.
