Richard Coogan

Richard J. Coogan, age 85, of Havertown, PA, passed away on June 24, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Richard P. and Bridget Coogan (nee Parkinson). Mr. Coogan was a graduate of West Catholic Boys High School and St. Joseph College, both in Philadelphia.



Richard served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed with the United States Postal Service for 31 years. He served as Postmaster of the Point Breeze Post Office in Philadelphia. He retired in 1985.



Richard was predeceased by his brother, Anthony Coogan. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Coogan (nee Ward), his children Pamela A. Graziano (Joseph) and Richard J. Coogan (Anne) and his grandchildren Jennifer Valerio (Matthew), Elizabeth, Joanne and Christina Graziano and Caitlyn, Richard and Sean Coogan.

Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Annunciation BVM Church, 401 Brookline Blvd., Havertown, PA. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
