Richard "Rick" H. Hartfield, 61, of Spring City, PA and formerly of West Chester, PA passed away on December 5, 2014.
Born in 1953, Rick was the son of Dorothy M. (Greenley) and Robert J. Hartfield, both deceased.
He was a 1971 graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School and a 1975 graduate of St. Joseph's University. Rick was the owner of Rigg Darlington Insurance Group, which he purchased in 2013 after starting with them in 2000.
Rick was the beloved husband of Christine D. (Dwyer) Hartfield; loving father of Casey A. Simkins (Jason), Victoria H. Veser (Jonathan), Julie E. Klappert (David) and Emily A. Aiken; loving grandfather of Parker and Vivian Veser; dear brother of Donna Blaszkowski (George), Robert J. Hartfield, Jr. (Lucie) and Dottie O'Connor (Dan), many nieces and nephews and too many friends to count.
Rick had many passions in life including being the president and owner of an insurance company, flying airplanes, all things technology, playing and coaching his kids in various sports, Star Trek, his much loved dog Torrie and being the ultimate jokester. But his biggest passion in life always, was his family. His greatest accomplishment was being the most loving, fair, kind hearted, selfless and endlessly funny son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, brother-in-law and husband. He took many children under his wing which showed his amazing capacity for love. The world is a lot dimmer without his smile and presence.
