Richard A. Jackson Sr., 84, of West Chester, PA passed away on June 28, 2016.
Born in 1932 in Ridley Park, PA, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Leona A. (nee Smith) Jackson.
He was a graduate of Prospect Park High School and Rutgers University.
He served honorably in the Air Force and the Army National Guard, achieving senior pilot wings from both branches of service. He also owned an electrical contracting business.
He was the beloved husband of Jean M. Jackson (nee Hutchins); loving father of Richard A. Jackson Jr. (Lily), Kurt M. Jackson (Catherine), Marie J. Beuf (Carlo), and Christopher J. Jackson (Tammy); loving grandfather of Elizabeth, Caroline, and Levi; and dear brother of Beverly McDaniel.
He was predeceased by his siblings Alice, Cynthia, and Robert.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Mass 11:00 AM Thursday, July 7, 2016 at St. Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct., West Chester PA 19380, where friends may greet the family from 10:00-11:00 AM in the church. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
