Richard Paul McGonigle

Richard Paul McGonigle, age 92, of Broomall, PA, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Richard was the son of the late Hugh Francis and Emma (née Maier) McGonigle.

Richard worked as a clerk for the United States Lines for most of his career and retired in 1990. He was an avid bowler who was active in multiple leagues throughout his retirement and enjoyed researching the genealogy of his family. He was a member of the National Guard and Knights of Columbus.

Richard was the loving father of Paul McGonigle (Diane), Mark McGonigle (Anne), and Jeffrey McGonigle (Joan), devoted grandfather of Sean, Adam, Jason, Sarah, James, and Jamie Ann, and great-grandfather of Elizabeth Rose and Griffin.  He is also survived by his brother, Hugh Patrick McGonigle, and his sisters, Emma Mae McGonigle and Roseanne Zipler.  Richard was predeceased by his former wife, Bernadette (née McGovern) McGonigle.

Family and friends are invited to his Graveside Service Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Rd., Drexel Hill, PA 19026.
