Richard Osiecki, age 90, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2023.
Born in Ciechanow, Poland, he was the son of the late Zygmunt and Helen (née Szwarc) Osiecki. Richard was the beloved husband of Patricia M. (née Chaplinsky) Osiecki; the loving father of Emily Remphrey (Bill) and Mark Osiecki (Valerie); and the proud grandfather of Catherine, Grace, and William. He is also survived by his sister-inlaw, Nancy Osiecki. Richard was predeceased by his brother, Thaddeus J. “Ted” Osiecki.
Richard graduated from West Catholic High School and Temple University. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and worked his entire career at Boeing as a tool design engineer on helicopters and the V-22 Osprey. In retirement, he operated Newtown Square Glass & China with his wife. In his spare time, Richard was an avid skier, handyman extraordinaire and dedicated all his energy to providing for his family.
Richard’s pure heart was evident to all and to know him was to love him. He would do anything for anyone at a moment’s notice and his generosity knew no bounds. His entire life revolved around his family and he never missed an opportunity to be with them.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Saturday, July 1, 2023, 9 – 10 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-353-6300, followed by his Funeral Mass, 10:30 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA.
