Richard Ostrander

Richard I. Ostrander, age 61, passed away suddenly on April 10, 2014, of Rose Tree, Media, PA. Richard was the devoted son of the late Irven R. and Mary W. Ostrander (nee Waldron). He was the beloved brother of Thomas (Christine), Mary Ellen Davin (William), and Joanne; loving uncle of 8 nieces and nephews; and beloved nephew of Frances Waldron. He is also survived by his loving companion, Carol McCollaum and his faithful dogs, Nellie and Bella. Numerous cousins and friends will miss him dearly.



Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Richard's life at West End Boat Club, 500 West Second St, Essington, PA on Monday, April 14 from 6 to 8 pm.



His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 15 at 11:00 AM. St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 Providence Road, Media, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.



In lieu of flowers, and out of respect for Richard's love of animals, the family requests that donations be made to the Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue, 60 Vera Cruz Road, Reinholds, PA 17569.
