Rick Scullin, age 69, of Lewisburg, PA, formerly of Broomall and Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on January 13, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Francis and Anne Scullin (nee Giblin).
Mr. Scullin served proudly in the National Guard. He was employed in Supermarket Operations for 50 years with Penn Fruit, Shop Rite, Drexeline, and Whole Foods. He was a political junkie who loved discussing current events with his kids and siblings. He was a passionate Phillies fan and always thought "this is the year!" that they'd win it all again. He loved traveling with Kathy, taking regular trips to the shore with his family, and going to his favorite casino to try his luck. He was a wonderful baseball and softball coach who wanted to make sure that every kid learned the game and had fun. The Scullin family pets will remember him as a loving companion. All who knew him will miss his eclectic taste in music, especially his "pick hits" which became his favorite songs.
Mr. Scullin was predeceased by his daughter, Susan Scullin, his grandchild Bailey and his brothers, Frank "Buddy" and Michael Scullin.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen M. "Kathy" Scullin (nee Maloney), his children Doug (Corissa), Colleen and Danny Scullin, his grandchildren Remi and Brody, his siblings Joan Sporkin, Bill, Stephen, Thomas and Marianne Scullin and many nieces and nephews.
