Rita M. Cosgrove (nee Conley), 92, of West Chester, passed away on March 8, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Philadelphia in 1923, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Mary Ilda (nee McCabe) Conley.
Rita was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a longtime resident of West Chester and a founding member of SS Simon & Jude Church. Rita was devoted to her Catholic faith.
She was the wife of the late James J. Cosgrove; the mother of Patricia C. Spadaro (the late Frank), Regina C. Furey (the late Jack), Dr. James J. Cosgrove, Jr. (Mary), Francis X. Cosgrove (Noreen), and Mary Rita Arthur (Ronald); the sister of Joan Logue (Paul); also survived by 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:30 AM-12:00 PM Saturday, March 12, 2016 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000 followed by her Funeral Mass 12:30 PM at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct, West Chester, PA 19382. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
