Rita E. Fries (nee Georeno), age 90, of Springfield, PA, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2019.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Phillamina (nee Tollerino) Georeno.
Rita was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
She loved to cook as well as helping with a family deli business.
She was devoted to her family and was happiest spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rita was the beloved wife of the late James Fries; the loving mother of Charles Fries (Lori), Albert Fries (Rita), Rita Rossi (Charles), James Fries (Kelly), Michael Fries (Colleen), Patricia Glenn (Joseph) and Kevin Fries (Kathy).
She was the cherished grandmother of 18 and great-grandmother of 12.
Rita is survived by her brother, John Georeno.
