Robert A. Bredickas

Robert A. Bredickas, 83, of Downingtown, PA, passed away February 3, 2025.

Born January 13, 1942 in Shenandoah, PA, he was a son of the late Victor and Elizabeth (nee Sabalusky) Bredickas.

Bob served honorably in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as an operating room specialist stationed in various locations including Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland and the US Air Force Hospital, Fairbanks, Alaska. Bob received a Letter of Commendation for his service and promoted to Airman 1st Class. Bob was proud to serve in the U.S. Air Force, and the experience helped him build his professional career.

He was an owner and partner of Chester County Opticians, Inc. for many years. He enjoyed tennis, fishing, hunting, and cooking family meals. He loved trips to Ocean City, MD with his family and day trips with his wife to North East Maryland. He was a loving husband and will be dearly missed. 

Bob was the beloved husband of almost 55 years of Norma E. (nee Sloan) Bredickas; loving father of Vincent R. Bredickas (Lisa B.) and Paul S. Bredickas (Nicole B.); adoring grandfather of Reece R. Bredickas, Chase D. Bredickas, and Sloan C. Bredickas; dear brother of Bruce R. Bredickas (Carol); and caring uncle of Bruce Bredickas (Lauren) and Beth Bredickas. He will be missed by his wonderful caregiver, Mary, and his grand-dogs: Captain and Naomi.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Friday, February 7, 2025 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335, followed by his Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM. Interment is private.
