Robert J. Bruce

Robert J. Bruce, 89, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away December 7, 2022.

Born August 22, 1933 in Bryn Mawr, PA, he was the son of the late John and Catherine (nee Sayres) Bruce.

Bob graduated from Lower Merion High School and served honorably in the U.S. Navy. Bob held numerous positions within the moving industry culminating in his ownership of Shelly Moving and Storage for over 20 years. Bob was active in his community as a bingo caller, a member of the choir and served on the facilities committee.

Robert was the beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee Gallagher) Bruce; loving father of Kathy Evans (Dean) and Stephen Bruce (Kathleen); adoring grandfather of Drew, Kyle, David, Kristy, Stephen, and Jonathan; caring great-grandfather of Lilly. He was predeceased by his brother, Samuel Bruce.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, followed by his Memorial Service at 11:30 AM. Interment is private.
