Robert Connelly

ROBERT J. CONNELLY, 91 of West Chester, PA and formerly of Lansdowne, PA passed away surrounded by his family on September 23, 2015.



Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1924, he was the son of the late Anna (Rooney) and Joseph N. Connelly and grew up in Upper Darby, PA.



Robert served honorably in the US Army during World War II. He was a teacher at Roxborough High School and also worked as an accountant for Fernwood Cemetery, Fernwood, PA



He was an avid golfer for 50+ years. He also enjoyed watching sports, his crossword puzzles, and spending time with his family.



Robert was the beloved husband of Jeanne (Dulin) Connelly and they had just celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on September 8th. He was the loving father of Patricia Scherf (John) of West Chester, Maureen Connelly (Allen) of Ridley Park, Robert Connelly of Wilmington, DE, Theresa Rodriguez (Jeff) of Wenonah, NJ and Jeanne Connelly (Matthew) of West Chester; and loving grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
