Robert Arthur Denman (“Bob”), 79, of Downingtown, PA, son of the late Arthur Gath Denman, MD and Gretchen Denman (née Hafley) of Narberth, PA, passed away suddenly at home. He is survived by his daughter Jessica Denman Knowles and her husband Robert Knowles; his son Jeffrey E. Denman, II and his wife Kim Denman; his brother A. John Denman, II; 2 grandchildren; 3 nephews; and a small army of cousins. He is preceded in death by his stepmother Anna Denman (née Wardrop); his daughter Rita; his brother Jeffrey E. Denman; his half-brother Bruce Denman; his first wife Sharon Denman (née Houser); and his second wife Margaret (“Patty”) Donohue Denman (née Lutz).

Upon discharge, Bob first went to work at Burroughs Machine in Great Valley, and after a few years, started at Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania as an installer. Bob stayed at Bell (subsequently Verizon) for the balance of his career, retiring as a manager of installers at the local Verizon facility in Paoli, PA.
Bob was a shooting and hunting enthusiast in his spare time. He was an expert marksman, having competed at the national matches in Camp Perry, Ohio in his youth, and enjoyed notable success in later years at local shooting matches. His love of hunting took him to Africa on several trips, during which he shot or tranquilized the coveted “big five” of African hunting – an elephant, tiger, rhinoceros, buffalo, and leopard.
