Robert D. Ferry, age 81, of Drexel Hill, PA,, passed away on December 4, 2014. Born in Freeland, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Ferry (nee Sands). Mr. Ferry served in the United States Army in Japan as a Chaplain's Assistant..
Bobby was a star basketball player at St. Ann's High School in Freeland, PA. In 1951 he was voted "Little All State" and he held the Mountain Basketball League individual season scoring record for many years.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Anne C. Ferry (nee Koch), his children Victoria, Douglas (Buffie), Carl and Robert C. Ferry, his sister Margaret Marencin (Daniel), his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joan and Alfred Stewart, and his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday, December 9, 2014 8:30-9:50 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM St. Bernadette Church, 1035 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106 would be appreciated.
