Robert “Robby” Preston Hartman, age 76, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024. Beloved son of the late Edgar Roland and Margaret (nee Cucknell) Hartman.
Robby is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Hartman; Children; Tracy Humphries (Troy) and Lori Hartman; Sister, Lynn Marshall; Grandchildren, Ashley, Katie, Troy, and Owen Humphries. He was predeceased by his dear brother Ed Hartman.
Robby was a devoted Firefighter and Navy veteran who left behind a legacy of courage and dedication. He lived a life full of remarkable experiences and unforgettable memories.
Throughout his career as a Firefighter, Robert selflessly served his community with valor and compassion. His commitment to protecting others was unwavering, earning him the respect and gratitude of all who knew him. In addition to his service as a firefighter Robert proudly served in the Navy, demonstrating his bravery both at home and abroad.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Robert will be remembered for the joy he brought to those around him. His passion for decorating birthday cakes for his children reflected the care and love he had for his family. Furthermore, his enthusiasm for fishing at various lakes - including Brady Lake, Big Bass Lake, Pickering Pond Hole, and Francis Walter Dam - brought him closer to nature and provided moments of tranquility amidst life's hustle.
One of Robert's greatest joys was attending car shows with his beloved '67 mustang. The thrill of seeing classic cars on display resonated deeply with him, showcasing his appreciation for craftsmanship and beauty.
A viewing in honor of Robert P. Hartman will take place on June 27, 2024, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home 8401 West Chester Pike in Upper Darby. The gathering will provide an opportunity for friends and loved ones to pay their respects and celebrate the remarkable life of this extraordinary individual.
