Robert Jones

Robert S. Jones, born on October 9, 1919 in Pittsburgh PA, until he was a teenager when he moved to the Philadelphia area, passed away on January 11, 2017.
He attended Lower Merion High School and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. He also served in the Army Air Corps as a Second Lieutenant where he was a B17 pilot. He worked in the pest control industry where he founded Jones Termite and Pest Control, Inc.
He was married to Helen Farrell Jones for 44 years who predeceased him in 1984. He then married Madeline Berling Hammann and they recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Bob was an avid golfer and continued to enjoy the sport until he was 96 years old. Bob and Helen had 3 children, Marilyn Jones, Bob Jones, and Rick Jones. His stepchildren include Susan Misturak, Kathy Lazzarotti, Steve Hammann, and Joanne Guerra. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
