Robert Markley

Robert F. Markley, age 84, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on March 13, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late George W. and Lena Markley (nee Passion). He was a graduate of Lansdowne High School. He was employed as a truck driver for Upper Darby Township and later as a fleet mechanic with Community Transit.



Bob's passion was his family. He was an avid sports fan whose greatest love was rooting for the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. He spent his summers cheering for the Phillies and vacationing in Wildwood, NJ. His hobbies included collecting baseball cards and watching classic movies.



He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Markley (nee Furrer), his children Brian G. (Cathy) Markley, Karen E. Markley and Thomas R. (Riley) Markley, his grandchildren Katelyn, Emily, Brianna, Sarah Mae, William and Sebastian and his brother-in-law George F. Furrer, Jr. He was predeceased by his grandson, Brian G. Markley, Jr.
