Robert M. McNamara, age 85, of Bellmawr, NJ, passed away suddenly on November 6, 2015.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Margaret T. "Peggy" McNamara (nee McGinley), his loving children Margaret M. "Peggy" (Craig) Ritchie, R.N., Michael R. (Linda) Ph.D., Robert M. (Mary), M.D., Peter J. Esq., and Patrick (Barbara) McNamara, P.E., his grandchildren Heather Ritchie, Brittany, Colleen, Emma, Molly, Rob, Daniel, Kevin, Colin, William and Patrick McNamara. Also survived by his sister-in-law Anne McGinley, numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Robert was a graduate of LaSalle High School and St. Joseph University. He was a member and former President of The O'Mahoney Association, a member of the LaSalle Social Club, the Emerald Society, the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge
He was predeceased by his siblings Mary Kay, Hubert, Lawrence, Thomas and Peter McNamara.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday 6:00-8:30 PM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and Saturday 9:45-10:45 AM Divine Mercy Church (Good Shepherd), 67th & Chester Avenue, Philadelphia, PA and to his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the Robert and Margaret McNamara Scholarship Fund of West Catholic High School, 4501 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19139 would be appreciated.
