Robert Phillips, Jr.

Robert A. Phillips, Jr., 55 of Downingtown, formerly of West Chester, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016 unexpectedly at home.
Born in Mobile, AL, in 1961, he was the son of Harriet Thompson Phillips and the late Robert A. Phillips, Sr.
Robert graduated from Salesianum High School in Wilmington, DE and received an associate's degree from Delaware County Community College in PA. He was recently employed by Sunoco.
Robert was a loving father, brother, and friend who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was avid Philadelphia sports fan and attended many games for his beloved Flyers, Eagles, and Phillies. He had a love for cooking and could always be counted on to take charge of the grill and provide an excellent meal for all. Robert also loved the outdoors and made annual trips to Ocean City, Maryland and Tybee Island, Ga during his youth. Most of all, Robert enjoyed spending time with his children, Shelby, Katie, and their sister Jacqueline and was extremely active with their extracurricular activities.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Shelby Phillips, Katie Phillips, and their sister Jacqueline Weer., best friend and former wife Susan Weer, brothers Kevin P. Phillips , Michael T. Phillips (Nell Rose), and Stephen P. Phillips (Melissa), sister Harriet Ann Danese (Don) and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Wednesday, October 12, 2016, 7:00 PM-9:00 PM The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike (cor. Hilltop Road), West Chester, PA (610) 431-9000 and to his Funeral Mass Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10:30 AM SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA.
