Adored husband for 53 years of Lucy (nee Willingham); loving father of Robert E. Jr. (Margaret), Michele, Susan Daley (Gil), and Thomas J.; cherished grandfather of Alexandra Daley, Erin Daley and Gabriel Rainone; dear brother of Teresa Crisalli, Sr. Maureen Joseph, SSJ, the late Connie Waldon and the late Joseph P. Rainone, Jr.; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Graduate of The College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA where he attended on a football scholarship. He received his MBA from Seton Hall University in NJ.
Served in the US Army 1957 - 1963 with the occupational forces in Korea.
After the army he became a labor relations specialist with General Motors, then continued his career with Hess Oil and then the director of Human Resources at Curtiss Wright.
In 1973 he accepted a position at International Mill Service in Philadelphia, where he retired as a senior vice president.
In his later years, he enjoyed tennis and golf at Overbrook Country Club, where he and his wife are members. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was active in supporting their sporting events.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 7:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 15th at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA and 9:15-10:15 a.m. Thursday at St. John Neumann Church, Radnor Rd & Highland Ave, Bryn Mawr, PA, followed by Mass 10:30 a.m. Int. Calvary Cem.
