Rodney Peter Kelly, age 48, of Downingtown, PA, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on January 17, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Kathleen Kelly (nee Lambe) and the late Howard P. Kelly.
Rodney was a graduate of Upper Darby High School. He was a life long construction worker and left his mark on buildings all over the area as a member of Laborers Union 332. Rodney preferred deeds over words but was quick with a joke and even quicker to help a friend. He was a four for four Philly sports fan who loved dogs and classic cars. His greatest passion was his family and he never missed a chance to show them how much he cared.
In addition to his mother, Rodney is survived by his siblings Wilden Kelly, Sharon Kane (Michael) and Natasha Deiter (Sean), and his nieces and nephews Ryan, Connor, Isabella, Riley and Zoey.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday, January 23, 2018 7:00-9:00 PM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Mass Wednesday, January 24, 2018 10:30 AM St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA. Private interment to follow at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
