Rodolphe Melson

Rodolphe S. C. Melson, 79, formerly of Exton, passed away on November 30, 2015.



Born in Drexel Hill in 1936, he was the son of the late Josephine (nee Norris) and Rodolphe S. Melson, Sr.



Rod began his career by working at his family's watercress farm; Cresson Farms in Malvern. He moved on from there to Pepperidge Farms in Downingtown fixing machines and keeping the production lines running. He enjoyed hunting and was a great handyman at Melson and Sons Repair business. He was a collector of various American made memorabilia. Rod was an avid dog lover & enjoyed many furry companions over the years. He also enjoyed working with & teaching his children how to fix things.

Rod was the beloved husband of Roberta K. (nee Smith); the father of Rodolphe C., Robert W. (Jean), Diane M. Cantrell, Kathleen M. Zeh (Bill), and the late David C.; the dear brother of Rhoda McQuiston and Cynthia Durkin (Thomas); the grandfather of Erin Cantrell, Heather Cantrell, Amber Melson, Rachel Melson, the late Robert Michael Melson, Joshua Zeh, Zachary Zeh, April Melson, Michelle (Shelly) Melson, and Fayth Penetti; and the great-grandfather of Serina, Savannah, Kealani, and Hailey; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.



Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Thursday, December 3, 2015 10:00-11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335, 610-269-3080, and to his Prayer Service at 11:00 AM. Interment at St. Agnes Cemetery following Prayer Service.
