Rolando de Castro Luistro

April 15, 1937 – October 3, 2019

Rolando de Castro Luistro was born April 15, 1937 in Taal, Batangas, Philippines and died on October 3, 2019 in his home in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.  He was the son of the late Leopoldo, Sr and Juana Luistro, the brother of the late Patria Luistro, MD and the husband of the late Maria Ladores Luistro.  Rolando and Maria were married for 53 years.

Rolando is survived by his children Leopoldo, III, PhD, Rolando Jr. (Jennifer), Maria Jane (Sean), his grandchildren Patrick Roland, Jillian Mia, Olivia Lee, Rolando Jayden, and his siblings Ariston, Elsie, Revocato, Jaime, Gene, Martin, Roseller and Leopoldo, Jr.

Rolando received his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.  In the Philippines, he worked for the Manila Electric Company.  Rolando immigrated to the United States in 1974 with his family and settled in Philadelphia and Drexel Hill. He was employed by United Engineers and Raytheon Engineers and Constructors. He enjoyed traveling, music, dancing and spending time with his family.
