Ronald G. Brander, of West Chester, PA, passed away on September 15, 2018.
Born in Greenwich, CT to Jean (née Koellmer) and George Brander.
His lifelong love and enthusiasm for learning, art and music was contagious and inspiring. He earned his Master's Degree in English from Notre Dame University, where he also taught.
After moving to Chester County, he worked at West Chester University assisting students with disabilities before accepting a position in the library at Neumann College.
Surrounded by books and resources, he was truly in his environs where imagination and access to knowledge offered unlimited possibilities.
Many students benefited from his guidance, experience and love of the written word when researching and writing papers. While his own unique creativity and heightened sense of individuality were present in all aspects of his life, they were especially notable in his passionate practice of conservation.
Predeceased by his first wife Sue (née Monaghan), he is survived by daughter Sarah (significant other Jeremy Tripp), son Nicholas (fiancée Kayleigh Thompson), and his mother Kim Cherry, brothers David, Douglas (Wendy), Steven (Leslie) and three nephews.
Services will be private.
