Ronald Lee Price, 78, of Chestnut Hill, PA, passed away July 12, 2024.
Born May 29, 1946 in Terre Haute, IN, he was a son of the late James and Dorothy Price.
Ronald served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Indiana State University and worked as the Regional Claims Manager for State Farm Insurance until his retirement.
Ron was an avid golfer and longtime member of Stone Harbor Golf Club. His greatest pleasures were spending time with his family and watching his grandsons grow and excel in sports. He and Pat were adventurous world travelers and loved spending summers at their home in Ocean City, NJ., where they enjoyed playing bridge at the Ocean City Yacht Club. They were also ballroom dancers and hit the floor whenever the music moved them. After Ron retired, you could always find him with a book in his hand, keeping up with new and favorite authors. His biggest boasting point was his coast to coast bicycling trip from Oregon to New Hampshire, over the Rocky Mountains, but in later years had decided that hiking and walking were more suited to his senior status.
Ronald was the beloved husband of Patricia (nee Munafo) Estadt; loving father of Todd Price and Troy Price (Stephanie); adoring grandfather of Ryan Price and Adam Price; and dear brother of Kathryn Boice (Patrick) and Arthur Price (Barbara). He was predeceased by his first wife, Eugeneia, and his brother, Robert.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment at Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery.
