Rosalie Gelfand

Rosalie C. Gelfand (nee Clauso), age 93, of Upper Darby, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA and Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on October 19, 2020.   Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony James and Philomena Marie Clauso (nee Tierni).

Rosalie was a graduate of Upper Darby High School and attended the University of Pennsylvania.    Rosalie had been employed as a Social Worker for the State of Pennsylvania.

Rosalie enjoyed traveling to the Jersey Shore, especially Ocean City, NJ.

Rosalie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Theodore Gelfand and two grandchildren Ezra and Ezekiel.   She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis McLeod (Joe Grimley).  Also survived by her grandchildren Michael, Steven, Tony, Tara, Zeb, Gabe, and Isaiah, and her 9 great-grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 12 Noon at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 S. Sproul Road, Springfield, PA.  Masks are to be worn to the Graveside Service and Social Distancing is to be observed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rosalie's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
