Rose Mary McFeely

Rose Mary McFeely (nee McElroy), age 82, of Upper Darby, PA joined her parents in heaven on September 3, 2022 after a long illness.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Peter and MaryAnne McElroy (nee Anderson). She grew up in Lansdowne with her 12 brothers and sisters. She attended Notre Dame High School in Moylan and worked for Bell Atlantic for 37 years. Rose Mary enjoyed bowling, bingo, and never missed a Phillies or Eagles game. She was genuine, selfless, and giving even when she did not have the means. Her faith and Catholic education were very important to her, participating in the script program for Catholic education long after her children had grown. But most of all her family, siblings, children, and grandchildren held the biggest part of her heart.

She was the loving mother of Cathy McFeely, Mary Lucey (Dave), Jack McFeely (Kate), and Anne Marie McFeely (Ed Conner). Also survived by her devoted nephew, Brian McElroy, 9 siblings, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her cat, Kobe. She is predeceased by her son Thomas McFeely, her parents, and 3 siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing 10:00-11:30 AM Friday, September 9, 2022 at St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, followed by her Funeral Mass 11:30 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Laurence Restoration Fund, 30 St. Laurence Rd., Upper Darby, PA 19082.
